Mostly Figured Out ("we," "us," "this site") is a personal blog and store, operated on the Shopify platform. This policy explains what information gets collected when you visit, and — short version — it's not much, and we don't sell it or use it for anything beyond running the site.

What We Collect

Automatically, just by visiting:

• Basic device and usage information (IP address, browser type, pages visited, time of visit). This is standard for any website and is largely collected by Shopify, the platform that hosts and powers this site, in order to keep it running and secure.
• Cookies that are necessary for the site to function — for example, keeping items in your cart, remembering your login, or preventing fraud. These are mostly Shopify's own functional cookies, not ones we set ourselves.

Only if you give it to us:

• Your name, email, and shipping/billing address, if you make a purchase.
• Payment information, if you check out — this goes directly to Shopify's payment processing and we never see or store your full card details.
• Your email address, if you subscribe to updates or sign up for gated content.
• Your name/email/message, if you use a contact form to reach out.
• Comments you leave on posts, if commenting is enabled.

We don't collect anything beyond what's listed here, and we don't use any of it for our own marketing, profiling, or advertising purposes.

What We Don't Do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
• We do not use your data to build advertising profiles on you.

If that changes in the future (for example, if we add third-party ad networks like Google AdSense, which use their own cookies), this policy will be updated first, and it'll say so plainly.

Affiliate Links

Some posts may contain affiliate links, meaning we may earn a small commission if you click through and make a purchase — at no extra cost to you. This doesn't affect what information we collect about you; it's just how the retailer's own systems track referrals.

Shopify

This site runs on Shopify, which processes personal information on our behalf in order to host the site, process payments, and provide security and fraud prevention. Shopify may also use some of this data for its own platform-wide purposes (like account security across all Shopify stores). We don't control that layer, but Shopify is a data processor bound by its own privacy commitments — you can read the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy for details, and you can exercise privacy rights related to Shopify's processing through their privacy portal.

Beyond what Shopify handles to run the store, we — the people behind Mostly Figured Out — don't use, sell, or share your information for anything.

Other Third-Party Services

Aside from Shopify, this site may use a small number of additional tools (for example, analytics software to see basic traffic patterns). Any data those tools collect is governed by their own privacy policies, and we only use services with solid privacy practices.

Your Choices

• You can unsubscribe from any email list at any time using the link in the email.
• You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some site features may not work as well.
• You can ask us to delete any information we have on you (email address, comments, account info) by contacting us directly.

Children's Privacy

This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
